Effect of therapeutic exercise on pain and disability in the management of chronic nonspecific neck pain: systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized trials
Phys Ther. 2013 Aug;93(8):1026-36.Data from 7 randomized trials examining the effect of therapeutic exercise on pain and disability in chronic nonspecific neck pain (CNSNP) patients were pooled. The results show that, therapeutic exercise alleviated pain in CNSNP patients in the short (1 month) and intermediate (1-6 months) term follow-ups. The data for long-term follow-up was insufficient for meta-analysis and there was no significant reduction in disability for any time-frame.
