This study has been identified as potentially high impact.
OE's AI-driven High Impact metric estimates the influence a paper is likely to have by integrating signals from both the journal in which it is published and the scientific content of the article itself.
Developed using state-of-the-art natural language processing, the OE High Impact model more accurately predicts a study's future citation performance than journal impact factor alone.
This enables earlier recognition of clinically meaningful research and helps readers focus on articles most likely to shape future practice.
Realignment treatment for medial tibiofemoral osteoarthritis: randomised trial
Ann Rheum Dis. 2012 Oct;71(10):1658-65.80 patients with medial tibiofemoral OA were include to receive either active multimodal realignment treatment (with knee bracing, motion control footwear, and foot orthoses) and control bracing to compare improvement in knee function and pain after a 30-week crossover study period (12 weeks of first allocated treatment, 6 weeks washout period, 12 weeks of second treatment). Results demonstrated that patients experienced significant reductions in pain scores when wearing the active bracing treatment when compared to control bracing. Improvement in knee function was observed to be comparable between groups.
