Influence of Tensioner's Mobilization on the Centralization of Symptoms in Cervicobrachial Pain Syndrome: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Thirty patients with cervicobrachial pain syndrome were randomized to receive 3 sessions per week for 2 weeks of neural mobilization by tensioner's technique plus conventional treatment (hot pack, postural advice with cervical lateral glide) (n=15) or conventional treatment alone (n=15). Outcomes of interest included the Wernicke's scale for centralization of pain, and pain on a Visual Analog Scale (VAS), assessed after 3 and 6 sessions. Both Wernicke centralization of pain scores and VAS pain scores were significantly better in the neural mobilization group vs. the control group.
