Subacromial Corticosteroid Injection on Poststroke Hemiplegic Shoulder Pain: A Randomized, Triple-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Trial

Epub 2012 Apr 558 poststroke Hemiplegic Shoulder Pain (HSP) patients with rotator cuff disorder (N=58) were randomized into two groups: the treatment group receiving subacromial corticosteroid injection and a placebo group receiving a lidocaine injection. Over the duration of 8 weeks, the treatment group showed improvements in pain, range of motion, and Shoulder Disability Questionnaire in HSP patients compared to the placebo.
