2026 SLARD Annual Meeting: Arthroscopic Fixation and Ligament Reconstruction in Tibial Plateau Fractures

One patient with a lateral tibial plateau fracture (Schatzker I), complete anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture, and fibular head fracture following a motor vehicle accident underwent ACL reconstruction using a hamstring autograft combined with open reduction and internal fixation of the fractures. The primary outcome of interest was functional recovery and restoration of knee stability. Secondary outcomes included range of motion, pain, and overall clinical recovery. Outcomes were assessed during postoperative follow-up. Overall, the results of the report revealed complete recovery of range of motion with a stable and painless knee. These findings suggest that a combined arthroscopic and ligament reconstruction approach may be a safe and effective strategy for managing complex tibial plateau fractures with associated ACL injuries.
