Meta-Analysis of Outcomes of a Single-Radius Versus Multi-Radius Femoral Design in Total Knee Arthroplasty

OE Journal. 2016;4(16):3 J Arthroplasty. 2016 Mar;31(3):646-5415 studies, with a total of 2212 patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty (TKA), were included in this meta-analysis to compare the effects of single-radius compared to multi-radius prostheses on patient important outcomes. Findings indicated that range of motion was lower in single-radius knees compared to multi-radius knees; however, no significant differences were reported between the two femoral designs for Knee Society Scores (KSS), knee flexion, complications, isometric peak torque of the knee, or survival rates.
