Complications of Full-Endoscopic Versus Microendoscopic Foraminotomy for Cervical Radiculopathy: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
World Neurosurg. 2018 Jun;114:217-22726 randomized controlled trials, cohort studies, and case series' were included in this meta-analysis comparing complication rates between full-endoscopic foraminotomy and microendoscopic foraminotomy. Overall pooled complication rate did not significantly differ between the two techniques. Specific rates of dural tear and superficial infection also did not significantly differ between techniques. The specific rate of transient root palsy was significantly greater among full endoscopic foraminotomy groups compared to microendoscopic foraminotomy groups.
