The comparison of adductor canal block with femoral nerve block following total knee arthroplasty: a systematic review with meta‑analysis

Six randomized controlled trials were included in this meta-analysis comparing the effects of adductor canal blocks and femoral nerve blocks on postoperative analgesia, function, and satisfaction in patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty. Results demonstrated no significant differences between groups in pooled analyses of muscle strength/function (the Lafayette Manual Muscle Test System), pain scores, opioid consumption, or patient satisfaction over the first 48 hours after surgery.
