Surgical accuracy in high tibial osteotomy: coronal equivalence of computer navigation and gap measurement

120 patients scheduled for opening wedge high tibial osteotomy were randomized to preoperative planning and intraoperative correction via either the gap measurement method or using computer navigation. The purpose of this study was to compare final correction angle between groups, as well as the absolute deviation from intended correction to achieved correction. Results demonstrated no significant difference between groups in either final correction angle or accuracy in correction when comparing between intended and achieved correction.
