No Difference in Implant Micromotion Between Hybrid Fixation and Fully Cemented Revision Total Knee Arthroplasty: A Randomized Controlled Trial with Radiostereometric Analysis of Patients with Mild-to-Moderate Bone Loss
J Bone Joint Surg Am. 2016 Aug 17;98(16):1359-6934 patients undergoing revision total knee arthroplasty were randomized to either hybrid fixation, with cemented femoral components and cemented tibial baseplates with press-fit stems, or all-cement fixation. The purpose of this study was to compare three-dimensional component micromotion and functional outcome between groups over a 2-year follow-up. No significant differences in component translation, component rotation, or outcome on the Knee Society score were observed between groups.
