SICOT2018: Outcomes of revision ACL reconstruction with and without augmentation with internal brace .
ALLOGRAFT VERSUS ALLOGRAFT WITH INTERNAL BRACING IN ANTERIOR CRUCIATE LIGAMENT RECONSTRUCTION IN REVISION CASES AFTER ACL RE-RUPTURE
13 patients scheduled for revision anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction with an Achilles tendon allograft were randomized to either receive or not receive augmentation of the allograft with an internal bracing device. Patients were assessed for graft rerupture rate and knee function scores. After 6 months, no significant differences between groups were observed in either the Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score, the International Knee Documentation Committee score, or Lysholm score, and no patient in either group had experienced a graft rerupture.
