Navigation Assisted Versus Non-Navigation Assisted Total Knee Replacement in Obese Patients: A Comparative Randomised Study
100 obese patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty (TKA) were randomized to receive either navigation-assisted (n=50) or non-navigation-assisted (n=50) TKA. Outcomes of interest included alignment, component positioning, range of motion, deformity correction, blood loss, return to activity, and complication rates. The navigation group demonstrated superiority in all outcomes after a minimum of two years of follow-up.
