Multiple Instrumentation Changing Effect in Transportal and Transtibial Techniques for ACL Reconstruction Regarding Bacterial Contamination: A Randomized Controlled Study

80 patients undergoing anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) were randomized to receive either the transtibial technique (TT; n=35) or the anteromedial portal track technique (AMP; n=45). The primary outcome of interest was bacterial contamination with either technique. The results of this trial showed no positive swabs with either technique.
