Sensorimotor Training Versus Physiotherapy for Chronic Low Back Pain .
Effects of Sensorimotor Training on Transversus Abdominis Activation in Chronic Low Back Pain Patients.
J Pers Med . 2023 May 11;13(5):817.Seventy-five patients with chronic low back pain were randomized to receive either Galileo vibration therapy (n=25), Posturomed sensorimotor training (n=25), or conventional physiotherapy (n=25). Outcomes of interest included transversus abdominis muscle thickness (relaxed and contracted), percent of muscle activation, inspiration, hip flexion, and trunk flexion in a supine position, hip abduction in a lateral position, vele test, and Matthias test in a standing position and single leg stand. Absolute muscle thickness was similar between all of the groups. Additionally, no relevant correlations were apparent when considering the activation of the transversus abdominis along with all of the other clinical tests.
