Safety & Efficacy of Phytochemical Product Linfadren For Persistent Ankle Edema Following Trauma .
Efficacy and Safety of the Phytochemical Product Linfadren in the Management of Patients With Persistent Ankle Edema Following Trauma or Surgery: A Randomized Controlled Trial.
Foot Ankle Int . 2023 Oct;44(10):972-982.Sixty patients with persistent posttraumatic or postsurgery ankle edema were randomized to receive either 6-week conventional treatment plus Linfadren (n=30) or conventional treatment alone (n=30). The primary outcome of interest was the reduction in ankle edema as measured by the figure-of-8-20 method. Secondary outcomes included ankle function measured by the Lower Extremity Functional Scale (LEFS), Patient Global Impression of Change (PGIS), and treatment efficacy. Outcomes were assessed at baseline, end of treatment (6 weeks after baseline), and 3 months post-treatment. Overall, the results revealed that the study group had significantly greater improvements in ankle edema reduction and ankle function at both assessment points. No adverse events were reported. These findings suggest that Linfadren, in addition to conventional treatment, is effective and safe in managing persistent ankle edema.
