Renal excretion profiles of psilocin following oral administration of psilocybin: a controlled study in man
J Pharm Biomed Anal. 2002 11-Apr;():. 10.1016/s0731-7085(02)00278-9A single arm study in which eight volunteers received psychoactive doses of psilocybin (212+/-25 ug/kg BW) was conducted to examine renal excretion profiles of psilocin (PI). Peak PI concentrations were measured up to 870 ug/L and the PI excretion rate in the 2-4 hour collection interval was 55.5+/-33.8 ug/L. Within 24 hours of administration, 3.4+/-0.9% of the applied dose of psilocybin was excreted as free PI.
