Rehabilitation Effect of Standing Bed With Anti-Gravity Running Table Training on Ankle Fracture .
Rehabilitation effect of standing bed combined with early anti-gravity running table training on ankle fracture.
Sci Rep . 2024 Feb 13;14(1):3582.Fifty-two patients with postoperative PER type III or IV ankle fractures were randomized to receive either standing bed combined with early anti-gravity running table training (n=26) or conventional rehabilitation alone (n=26). The primary outcome of interest was bone healing, assessed by bone scab quality score and bone density. Secondary outcomes included functional recovery evaluated by AOFAS ankle-hindfoot scores, pain (VAS scores), ankle joint mobility, and swelling. Outcomes were assessed at baseline and after 8 weeks. Overall, the results revealed that the combined intervention group showed significantly better bone healing, higher AOFAS scores, reduced pain, and improved joint mobility compared to the control group, though there was no difference in swelling reduction. These findings suggest that the combined intervention promotes superior functional and structural recovery.
