Neck balance system in the treatment of chronic mechanical neck pain: a prospective randomized controlled study
Eur J Phys Rehabil Med. 2013 Jun;49(3):283-90. Epub 2013 Mar 1345 subjects with grade II mechanical neck pain were randomized to determine the efficacy of the Neck Balance System (NBS) as a treatment modality. Participants were allocated to active treatment with the NBS, sham-NBS, or electromagnetic therapy. Treatment was conducted over 8 weeks, after which outcomes of pain and disability were measured. Follow-up was also conducted at 3 months. Results at both assessments indicated significantly greater reductions in pain and disability with the NBS compared to the two other treatment groups.
