80 male soccer players were randomized into 4 groups to determine the rates of ankle re-injury after receiving intervention during one soccer season. The first group underwent proprioceptive exercise training, the second group underwent strength training, the third group received orthosis and the fourth group received no intervention (control group). Results indicated that the proprioceptive exercise training group had significantly less ankle re-injuries compared to the control group at the end of the soccer season.
