OE Journal. 2013;1(3):66 Am J Sports Med; 2011; 39(10): 2130-213428 patients with chronic lateral epicondylitis were randomized to receive treatment with either a single injection of 3mL autologous blood or 3mL of platelet rich plasma (PRP) under ultrasound guidance. Patients who received PRP displayed greater VAS pain score improvement at all follow-up visits; however, significance was only observed at 6 week follow up. Additionally, it was found that there were no significant differences in range of motion and performance of daily activities between the two groups.
