Ultrasound-Guided Versus Fluoroscopy-Guided Sacroiliac Joint Intra-articular Injections in the Noninflammatory Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction: A Prospective, Randomized, Single-Blinded Study

120 patients with noninflammatory sacroiliac joint dysfunction were randomized to receive intraarticular sacroiliac joint injections guided by either ultrasonography or fluoroscopy. The efficacies of each method were assessed through short-term pain relief and function, radiographic accuracy, and patient satisfaction. Results indicated similar pain relief, function, and patient satisfaction between groups. Injection accuracy was significantly higher with fluoroscopy. Complication rates were similar betweed guidance methods.
