No difference between computer-assisted and conventional total knee arthroplasty: five-year results of a prospective randomised study
Knee Surg Sports Traumatol Arthrosc. 2013 Oct;21(10):2241-780 patients who underwent total knee arthroplasty participated in this study to determine the effectiveness of computer-assisted surgery compared to conventional approaches. The Knee Society Score and Euroquol questionnaire yielded similar results between groups, and the improvements from preoperative assessments to the 5 year follow-up were comparable. Functional and patient perceived outcomes did not change from the mid-length follow-up to 5-year follow up in either group.
