2016 OTA Annual Meeting: Continuous Infraclavicular Brachial Plexus Block Versus Single Shot Nerve Block for Distal Radius Surgery: A prospective Randomized Compartative Trial

OE Journal. 2016;4(19):2543 patients undergoing the operative fixation of a distal radius fracture were included in this study to determine if there were differences in postoperative pain and analgesic consumption between continuous and single-shot infraclavicular brachial plexus nerve blocks. Patients were evaluated over the first 72 hours postoperatively. There were no significant differences between the continuous and single-shot infraclavicular brachial plexus nerve blocks for immediate postoperative pain and analgesic consumption.
