RANDOMIZED, DOUBLE-BLIND CONTROL TRIAL OF PERI-ARTICULAR HYALURONIC ACID:BOTULINUS TOXIN VE PLACEBO INJECTION IN LATERAL EPICONDYLOSIS

58 patients with lateral epicondylosis were randomized to either a single injection of 1.0cc hyaluronic acid (HA) and 40 units of botulinus toxin (Botox), or a placebo injection of 1.0cc of normal saline. The purpose of this study was to determine whether peri-articular injection of HA as an adjunct to Botox was effective in improving pain at rest, grip strength, and the global assessment of elbow injury. Findings indicated significant improvements in patients who received HA and Botox compared to patients who received placebo treatment.
