Radial head arthroplasty: fixed-stem implants are not all equal - a systematic review and meta-analysis

JSES Int.2020;4(1):30-38

Fixed-stem radial head arthroplasty is one of two main ways to perform radial head arthroplasty. Previous literature has often compared fixed-stem to "loose" or "unfixed" stem arthroplasty. However, this comparison assumes that all fixed-stem implants are similar. In reality, many different types of implants exist within this category. Thus, the authors of this study conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of fixed-stem implants. They found that there were differences among the implants in terms of function, complications, and revision rates.
