Effect of the Timing of Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction on Clinical and Stability Outcomes: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis
Arthroscopy. 2018 Feb;34(2):592-6027 clinical trials were included in this meta-analysis and systematic review, which compared functional outcomes and knee stability between early anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and delayed anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. Pooled analyses demonstrated no significant differences between groups in Lyshlom scores or instrumented knee laxity on the KT-1000 arthrometer. Qualitative analysis of the range of motion results also demonstrated no significant differences between groups in any of the 4 studies that reported the outcome.
