Duration of postoperative dressing after mini-open carpal tunnel release: a prospective, randomized trial
J Hand Surg Am. 2012 Jan;37(1):3-8. Epub 2011 Nov 3094 patients, who underwent mini-open carpal tunnel release, were randomized to use different forms of postoperative dressing to assess their effect on wound healing. Patients either received an adhesive strip following randomization 48-72 hours postoperatively or continued the use of normal postoperative wound dressing. The results at the 6-12 weeks follow-up indicated that there were no differences between the two wound dressing procedures.
