This study has been identified as potentially high impact.
OE's AI-driven High Impact metric estimates the influence a paper is likely to have by integrating signals from both the journal in which it is published and the scientific content of the article itself.
Developed using state-of-the-art natural language processing, the OE High Impact model more accurately predicts a study's future citation performance than journal impact factor alone.
This enables earlier recognition of clinically meaningful research and helps readers focus on articles most likely to shape future practice.
The Influence of Vitamin C on the Outcome of Distal Radial Fractures A Double-Blind, Randomized Controlled Trial
J Bone Joint Surg Am. 2014 Sep 3;96(17):1451-9. doi: 10.2106/JBJS.M.00268.336 adult patients with an acute displaced or nondisplaced unilateral distal radial fracture were randomized to receive a 500 mg Vitamin C or placebo capsule daily for 50 days after the fracture. The purpose of this trial was to determine if the oral administration of Vitamin C after distal radius fracture improves functional outcomes. There was no added benefit of vitamin C on functional outcomes or fracture-healing one year post-intervention.
