Global Spine J. 2021 Dec 8;21925682211055094.A meta-analysis of 5 comparative studies comparing anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) to minimally invasive posterior cervical foraminotomy (MIS-PCF) was performed. Outcomes of interest included complication rates, reoperation rates, operative time and hospital length of stay. Pooled analysis demonstrated no significant differences between overall complication rates or reoperation rates. No differences in operative time or length of stay were found between groups.
