Kinesio taping is superior to other taping methods in ankle functional performance improvement: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Clin Rehabil. 2018 Nov;32(11):1472-1481. doi: 10.1177/026921551878044310 studies were included in this systematic review and meta-analysis which sought to evaluate the effects of kinesiotape intervention in on functional performance results during the Stars Excursion Balance test and vertical jump height test, and on range of motion. Meta-analyzed data with respect to the Stars Excursion Balance test and vertical jump height tests demonstrated significant differences between groups in favour of KT groups among mixed populations of patients with prior ankle injury and healthy individuals. Meta-analyzed data on range of motion demonstrated no significant differences between KT groups and control groups.
