OE Journal. 2014;2(17):16 J Occup Rehabil. 2014 Jun;24(2):316-2447 office workers with chronic non-specific pain in the neck and shoulder region were randomized to investigate the efficacy of intensive scapular function training (SFT) on pain, pressure pain threshold, and strength. Patients were monitored over 10 weeks against a control. The evidence presented in this trial demonstrated that SFT was associated with significant relief from pain, increased pressure pain threshold (PPT) in the lower trapezius, and increased shoulder elevation strength as compared to the control group.
