ARTHROPLASTY
Lumbar erector spinae plane block versus infrainguinal fascia iliaca compartment block for pain management after total hip arthroplasty: a randomized clinical trial.
OrthoEvidence Journal (OE Journal) - ACE Report
OE Journal. 2024;12(13):6 Pain Med . 2024 Apr 3;25(4):257-262.研究概要
Sixty patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty were randomized to receive either an ultrasound-guided infrainguinal fascia iliaca compartment (FIC) block (n=30) or an erector spinae plane (ESP) block (n=30). Outcomes of interest included postoperative pain scores, opioid consumption, demand for rescue analgesics, adverse effects related to opioids, and block-related complications. Outcomes were assessed up to 24 hours post-surgery. Overall, the results revealed that the ESP block group had significantly lower dynamic pain scores in the first postoperative hour and lower opioid consumption within the first 8 hours compared to the FIC block group. The study concluded that both blocks provided similar analgesia over 24 hours, but the ESP block was more beneficial in the early postoperative period.
