The SpeedCourt system in rehabilitation after reconstruction surgery of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL)

50 patients who had undergone arthroscopic ACL reconstruction were randomized at 5 months postoperatively to rehabilitation using either the SpeedCourt system or traditional sensorimotor training methods. The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether there was any significant benefit to using the SpeedCourt system with respect to either anthropometric outcome (limb circumference), knee range of motion, or performance on motometric variables. The only statistically significant between-group differences observed were reaction time and jump height of the operative limb; all other variables did not statistically differ between groups.
