Outcomes of ketorolac versus depomedrol infiltrations for subacromial impingement syndrome: a randomized controlled trial

Seventy patients with subacromial impingement syndrome were randomized to receive a subacromial depomedrol injection (n=35) or a subacromial ketorolac injection (n=35). The outcomes of interest included pain, function and range of motion at one and three month follow-up. There was no significant differences in pain as measured by a visual analogue scale. No differences in function between the two groups were found as analyzed by the Shoulder Pain and Disability Score (SPADI). Range of motion was similar between group.
