Do postoperative platelet-rich plasma injection accelerate early tendon healing and functional recovery after arthroscopic supraspinatus tear
60 patients scheduled for arthroscopic double-row rotator cuff repair were randomized to receive or not receive platelet rich plasma injections at 7 and 14 days postoperatively. Patients were assessed over the first 16 weeks postoperatively for functional scores and tendon integrity on MRI. Results demonstrated no significant differences between groups.
