ISAKOS2017: Lower pain after double-layer, double-row vs suture-bridge repair of delaminated RC tear .
Which is better between conventional en masse repair versus separate double-layer double-row repair for the treatment of delaminated rotator cuff tears: a prospective randomized study
82 patients scheduled for arthroscopic repair of a delaminated rotator cuff tear were randomized to either en masse repair or double-layer, double-row repair. Follow-up was scheduled for 3, 6 and 12 months postoperatively. No significant differences between groups were noted in functional scores or shoulder range of motion. Visual analog scale pain scores were reported to be significantly lower at each time point in the double-layer, double-row repair group compared to the en masse repair group.
