Rotational Stiffness of ACL Reconstructed Knees Measured by 3D- Motion Analysis. A Prospective Randomized Clinical Trial Comparing Anatomic and Non-Anatomic ACL Reconstruction Techniques
45 patients were randomized to undergo either non-anatomical (single-bundle transtibial) or anatomical (single-bundle anteromedial, or double-bundle) anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, in order to compare which technique was most effective in returning normal knee rotational stability. Following 1 year of evaluation, no differences were discovered in sagittal and rotational knee stability between any of the groups.
