ISAKOS 2017: Bone versus soft tissue fixation of a gracilis tendon graft in MPFL reconstruction .
Comparison of soft tissue and bone graft fixation for reconstruction of the medial patellofemoral ligament. A randomized controlled trial
60 patients scheduled for medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction were randomized to medial fixation of the graft to either bone of the medial femoral condyle or soft-tissue fixation around the adductor magnus tendon. Patients were assessed for functional outcome and pain due to surgical morbidity over a 1-year follow-up. Results demonstrated no significant differences between groups in either outcome measure.
