Efficacy of intra-articular ketorolac for pain control in arthroscopic surgeries: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

A meta analysis of randomized controlled trials of two hundred and twenty eight patients undergoing arthroscopic surgery randomized to receive intra-articular ketorolac (n=115) or a control injection (n=113) was performed. The outcomes of interest were postoperative pain and rescue analgesic consumption. The ketorolac group had significantly reduced pain scores within the first 24h postoperatively. No significant differences in rescue medication consumption was found between groups.
