Non-invasive interactive neurostimulation in the post-operative recovery of patients with a trochanteric fracture of the femur: A RANDOMISED, CONTROLLED TRIAL

OE Journal. 2013;1(11):334 J Bone Joint Surg Br. 2007 Nov;89(11):1488-9460 patients undergoing surgery for hip fractures were randomized postoperatively to one of two groups. One group received a postoperative treatment using a non-invasive interactive neurostimulation device, while the second group had a sham device. Results indicated that the electrical stimulation treatment resulted in significantly better results in the outcomes of pain and function when compared to the sham treatment.
