A 3-month, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of a highly optimized, capacitively coupled, pulsed electrical stimulator in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee

OE Journal. 2013;1(11):186 Osteoarthritis Cartilage. 2007 Jun;15(6):630-7. Epub 2007 Feb 1558 patients with moderate to severe knee osteoarthritis (OA) were randomized to either receive treatment using an pulsed electrical stimulator (PES) device (intervention) or a placebo device (control). Results at 3 months demonstrated that patients with knee OA in the intervention group had significantly improved function and pain scores compared to the control group.
