Three studies including 650 patients were included in this meta-analysis comparing hip surgery via arthroscopy and physical therapy for the treatment of femoroacetabular impingement syndrome. The outcome of interest was the international Hip Outcome tool 33 (iHOT-33). Results revealed significantly favourable pooled iHOT-33 scores in favour of the hip arthroscopy group compared to the physical therapy group.
