Seven randomized controlled trials involving 772 patients with chronic pain were included in this meta-analysis comparing high-frequency spinal stimulation (HF-SCS) to low-frequency spinal stimulation (LF-SCS) or CMM. Pooled outcomes focused on the effective rate (≥50% pain relief), pain scores, Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), Patient Global Impression of Improvement (PGI-I), Clinical Global Impression of Improvement (CGI-I), and adverse events. HF-SCS was significantly more effective in achieving pain relief and improving disability than LF-SCS or CMM, though no significant differences were found in patient satisfaction, pain scores, or adverse event rates.
