Nanohydroxyapatite promotes the healing process in open-wedge high tibial osteotomy: A CT study

OE Journal. 2017;5(8):5 Knee. 2016 Oct;23(5):763-926 patients scheduled for opening-wedge high tibial osteotomy were randomized to grafting with a dehydrated equine wedge with or without augmentation with a nanohydroxyapatite paste. The purpose of this study was to assess and compare graft integration between groups on CT over a 12-month follow-up. Results suggested better integration of the graft over the 12-month follow-up in the group which received the nanohydroxyapatite (NHA) paste compared to the group that did not.
