Topical analgesic added to paraffin enhances paraffin bath treatment of individuals with hand osteoarthritis
Disabil Rehabil. 2011;33(6):467-7440 patients suffering from hand osteoarthritis (OA) participated in this study to determine the combined efficacy of paraffin and a topical analgesic. Patients underwent 4 weeks of treatment with ParaSpa Premier Paraffin or a mixture of 80% ParaSpa Premier Paraffin and 20% Jointritis. The results suggested that the combined use of these two treatments was more effective in relieving pain and improving hand functional index than treating with paraffin baths alone.
