Long-term comparison of mobile-bearing vs fixed-bearing total knee arthroplasty

Based on a previous study, this paper aimed to report the long term outcomes between mobile and fixed bearing designs for total knee arthroplasty (TKA). 89 patients (107 knees) were randomized to one of the different prostheses at the start of the study, and 50 patients (63 knees) were available at the 10-year follow-up. There were no differences between both groups at the follow-up regarding the mean Knee Society scores, knee flexion, or knee pain scores.
