Cemented versus uncemented fixation of the femoral component of the NexGen CR total knee replacement in patients younger than 60 years: A Prospective Randomised Controlled RSA Study
Knee. 2009 Jun;16(3):200-6. Epub 2008 Dec 1941 patients, under the age of 60, undergoing NexGen cruciate-retaining total knee arthoplasty (TKA), were randomized to receive either a femoral aspect, which was cemented in place, or a non-cemented aspect. Participants were followed-up for 2 years postoperatively. The results of this study indicated that the use of cement had no effect on femoral aspect migration.
