Impact of fast-track rehabilitation nursing on pressure ulcers and postoperative complications in patients with inter-trochanteric fractures: A meta-analysis.

Twenty-two randomized controlled trials including 1904 patients with inter-trochanteric fractures were included in this systematic review and meta-analysis comparing fast-track rehabilitation nursing versus routine nursing. Pooled outcomes of interest included the occurrence of pressure ulcers, postoperative complications, and length of hospital stay. The pooled results showed that fast-track rehabilitation nursing significantly reduced the incidence of pressure ulcers (p < 0.001), and postoperative complications (p < 0.001), and shortened the length of hospital stay (p < 0.001). The main findings suggest that fast-track rehabilitation nursing is more effective than routine nursing in improving clinical outcomes for patients with inter-trochanteric fractures.
