Conservative treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome: Comparison between laser therapy and fascial manipulation
J Bodyw Mov Ther. 2015 Jan;19(1):113-8.42 patients (70 affected hands) were randomized to receive either Fascial Manipulation (FM) or Low-Level Laser Therapy for the treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome. The purpose of the study was to compare the two treatments in terms of function, pain and present symptoms. Fascial Manipulation demonstrated superior outcomes based on the clinical examination version of Boston questionnaire (BCTQ), consisting of the Symptoms Severity Scale (SSS), the Functional Status Scale (FSS), and the VAS scale.
