OE Journal. 2015;3(24):39 Am J Sports Med. 2015 May;43(5):1157-64.90 patients were randomized to receive posterolateral bundle (PLB) fixation at zero, 20, or 45 degrees of knee flexion in a double-bundle anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. The goal was to evaluate various angles of PLB fixation and compare clinical outcomes over 2 years follow-up. PLB fixation at 45 degrees was observed to result in significantly greater anterior knee laxity, pivot-shift knee instability and higher graft failure rate. Fixation at zero and 20 degrees were found to have no significant differences in any outcome.
